The One.5 Hockey Stick is made with a mixture of carbon composite and fiberglass materials. The combination of materials adds some weight relative to the higher priced Supreme stick options. With this extra weight comes extreme durability, strength, and resistance to wear. Fiberglass would be used in top of the line sticks if it were not for its weight. There are only a few brands that offer the unique mid kick point. It is believed that harder, more accurate slapshots are released from mid-kick sticks. It has been proven that mid-kick sticks break less often than low kick sticks. To assist with the shot’s loading and release phases, Bauer has used their Supreme Power Taper on this stick. A .520 Taper is seen in the lower portion of the shaft to produce a powerful whip-like motion when shooting. The One.5 Stick is able to be priced so low due to the absence of the Pure Shot Blade Profile and Aero Foam II blade core. Instead, the core of the blade is made with polyurethane, a rubbery plastic-like material that does a decent job of reducing bad pass receptions and keeping vibrations to a minimum. Like the rest of the Supreme line, squared corners and concaved side walls are present on the shaft.
